Although not officially recognised, St Christopher is considered by many to be the patron saint of travellers and children, and pendants like this have become the gift of choice for those we seek to protect.
This beautifully rendered St Christopher medal depicts the patron saint in wonderful relief, wading through water with the Christ Child carried on his shoulder and a tiny church tucked into the background.
This example is larger than usual and has a lovely aged patina.
Measurements: 33 mm in diameter with a 12 mm jump ring.
