These vintage Monet clip-on earrings feature a striking two-tone layered disc design—silver-tone and gold-tone metal—creating a bold yet minimalist modernist look that pairs beautifully with both casual and dressy outfits.
The company’s history goes back to the 1930s. Under the artistic direction of Edmond Mario Granville, who came from a fine-jewellery background at Cartier, Monet grew to become hugely popular.
Their early designs were influenced by European fashion houses such as Chanel and Schiaparelli, and their creative success eventually led to licensing partnerships. Monet manufactured costume jewellery for Yves Saint Laurent in the United States in the 1980s, and later for Christian Lacroix in the 1990s.
